Title III

2008 - 09 School Year 

     The Title III area serves the English Language Learners (ELL).  Federal funding for the program has been changed.  A school district must now have a minimum of 61 ELL students to receive federal funding for the program.  Carl Junction does not receive funding in the Title III area because we have under 61 ELL students.  The school district continues to support the ELL program through district funding with a full-time teacher.  ELL students are pulled from the regular classroom for instruction, assisted in the regular classroom, or monitored for academic achievement by the ELL teacher.  The students are tested to determine what level of instruction is needed.
