7th Grade Student Dara Restivo won the "Juror's Choice" award for the annual Membership Show at Spiva Center for the Arts. She is in the JH Art Club. She went up against others her age from area school districts.

Besides Dara's photograph entitiled "Bird Bath," the Membership Show includes works by 140 artists including JH Art Teacher Elizabeth Cosby. The exhibit in the AT&T Main Gallery at Spiva will be on display through December 27. There are three different galleries with a wide variety of artwork. Stop by while in Joplin at 3rd & Wall Street. They are open Tuesday - Saturday, 10-5; and Sunday, 1-5.
