  • Varsity Tutors Essay Contest
    Amount: $200
    Criteria: This award is a monthly essay contest. The winner is chosen by which essay receives the most votes. Eligibility is limited to individuals who are at least 16 years of age in their state of legal residence on or before their entry into the Promotion. Such individuals must be a legal resident of one of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia as of September 01, 2020. Please see official rules for further details.     Amount: $500
    Criteria: Scholarship is open to legal residents of the United States or international students with a valid visa who are high school freshmen in the Class of 2024.

    Amount: $500
    Criteria: Scholarship is open to legal residents of the United States or international students with valid visa who are high school sophomores in the Class of 2023.

  • JASNA Essay Contest
    Amount: Up to $1,000
    Criteria: Contest is open to students world-wide who are enrolled in high school, college/university, or graduate school. Student must submit an essay on a given topic related a Jane Austen work.

  • Fraser Institute Student Scholarship
    Amount: $500- $1,500
    Criteria: Showcase your ideas on public policy and the role of markets by entering our high school essay competition.

  • William Basey Memorial Scholarship
    Amount:$500
    Criteria: Applicant must be a current member of The Sons of The American Legion or American Legion Junior Auxiliary, must be accepted as a full-time student in an accredited vocational college, technical college, community college. A letter from the institution must be attached to application. Must be a resident of the state
    of Missouri. The scholarship must be used the following semester after it is awarded. Attach a copy of current academic records. An essay is required.

  • Bishop and Hayes Scholarship
    Amount: $3,000
    Criteria: Applicant must be a high school senior planning to enroll in college following graduation.

  • Joseph S. Rumbaugh Historical Oration Scholarship
    Amount: $3000
    Criteria: The contest to grades 9-12. The oration must be original, and not less than five minutes or more than six minutes. The subject shall deal with an event, personality, or document pertaining to the Revolutionary War and show a relationship to America today. The oration must be essentially the same as the submitted manuscript. Notes and props (including military uniforms) may not be used in the presentation. Click here to apply.

  • Leadership of Tomorrow Scholarship (University of Missouri - Columbia)
    Amount: $500
    Criteria: Applicant must be an incoming male freshman student who will be attending the University of Missouri - Columbia, exhibit leadership potential, and academic achievement. One scholarship is for students pursuing a major in the College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources, and the other is for students of any major. Click on the title to apply.

  • Mark A. Forester Scholarship
    Amount: $1000

  • The Robert Peterson Scholarship
    Amount: $1,000
    Criteria: Current high school senior (any high school eligible). 2. Anticipating completion of high school diploma at the time of application. 3. Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution. 4. Carrying a minimum 2.5 GPA at the end of their junior year of high school. An essay is required.

  • The Andrew “Rube” Foster Scholarship
    Amount: $1,000
    Criteria: Current high school senior (any high school eligible). 2. Anticipating completion of high school diploma at the time of application. 3. Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution. 4. Carrying a minimum 2.5 GPA at the end of their junior year of high school. An essay is required.

  • Writer’s Digest Popular Fiction Awards
    Amount: $2,500
    Criteria: Submit your best short stories for a chance for a featured interview in Writer’s Digest magazine, and a paid trip to the ever-popular Writer’s Digest Annual Conference in New York City.

  • Ocean Awareness Student Contest
    Amount: $1,500
    Criteria: Students ages 11-18 are invited to submit visual art, poetry, prose, film, and music that explore the Ocean Awareness Student Contest theme list on their website.

  • Women in Baseball Scholarship
    Amount: $500
    Criteria: Current High School senior 2. Anticipating completion of high school diploma at time of application. 3. Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U. S. Post-secondary institution. 4. Carry a minimum 2.5 GPA at the end of their Junior Year. An essay is required.

  • First Generation College Student Scholarship
    Amount: $1,000
    Criteria: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current college students who are first generation
    college students. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to being a first generation college student.
    Deadline: June 15, 2021

  • Global Life Equipment Scholarship
    Amount: $500
    Criteria: Applicant must currently be attending or planning to attend post-secondary institution in the fall following graduation. Submit a short story. Detailed instructions can be found on the application page, and have a 2.5 gpa or greater.

  • Horatio Alger National Career & Technical Scholarship Program
    Amount: $2,500
    Criteria: Applicant must be a graduating senior, enter a career or technical program in the Fall following graduation and demonstrate financial need. Forms needed with the application are: Student Aid Report (SAR), income documentation. Click on the title to apply.

  • Big Sun Organization Scholarship
    Amount: $500
    Criteria: All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in. Click on the title to apply.

  • The Chairish “Design Your Future” Scholarship
    Amount: $2,500
    Criteria: This scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors with a minimum accumulative gpa of 3.0 or above, college undergraduates, and graduate students. Must be enrolled or planning to enroll at an accredited two-year, four-year, or technical/vocational college or university in the United States. This scholarship is open to students from all underrepresented backgrounds. Examples of ideal applicants include, but are not limited to, students from racial minorities typically underrepresented in higher education, first generation college students, women pursuing a degree in a STEM or typically male-dominated industries, students with disabilities, and or similar situations. A 500-word essay is required on a specific topic found on their website.

  • The Andrew Flusche Scholarship Contest
    Amount: $500
    Criteria: Applicants must be high school seniors who have been accepted into a college, university, or trade school. The mission of this contest is to raise awareness about the dangers of texting and driving, and create a public service advertisement video (PSA) which raises addresses the severity of the problem. 
    Deadline: June 30, 2021 

  • Do Over Scholarship
    Amount: $1,500
    Criteria: Must be thirteen (13) years of age or older at the time of application, currently enrolled (or enroll no later than the fall of 2024) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education. Submit an online written response to the question found on their website.

  • Amount: $500
    Criteria: Applicant must be a female student who is leading a healthy lifestyle.  Write a 500 word essay on your experience maintaining health and wellness while enrolled in college. Click the title to apply.

  • Lift Parts Express
    Amount: $500
    Criteria: Applicant must be 16-21 years of age, attending school in Fall of the current yhear, minimum gpa of 3.0.

  • Missouri Scholarship & Loan Foundation's Access Extra Scholarship

    Amount: $2,000
    Criteria: Will enroll full-time at a 4-year, Access Missouri participating school. Click here for a list of eligible schools, meet the state’s Access Missouri Financial Assistance Program requirement of expected family contribution (EFC) of $12,000 or less, scored 27 or higher on the ACT or the SAT equivalent.

  • Delete Cyberbullying Scholarship Award
    Amount: $1,000
    Criteria: Scholarship is open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents who are attending or planning to attend an accredited U.S. college or university for undergraduate or graduate studies. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to cyberbullying.

  • OppU Achiever’s Scholarship
    Amount: $2,500
    Criteria: Applicant must be a current full-time high school student with a minimum gpa of 3.0, write an essay on a prompted question.  
    Deadline:June 30th (annually)

  • Digital Privacy Scholarship
    Amount: $1,000
    Criteria: Scholarship is open to current high school, college, and graduate school students. Home school students are also eligible. Applicant must Complete the application form including a 140-character message about digital privacy.

  • Earnest Awards Scholarship
    Amount:$ 5,000
    Criteria: All applicants must be enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university for the semester that they are applying to receive the scholarship, no required GPA, no specific major. Domestic, international, and undocumented students may apply. Students attending online universities are welcome to apply. An essay is required.

  • The Advocates Scholarship
    Amount: $1,000
    Criteria: Go to this Instagram post on @theadvocatesutah. Follow us and comment a little bit about yourself, where you’re from, what school you go to, & tag your best schoolmate. All prospective or current students enrolled in an accredited university or college, located within the United States may apply. An essay is required on a specific topic found on their website.
