Varsity Tutors Essay Contest
Amount: $200
Criteria: This award is a monthly essay contest. The winner is chosen by which essay receives the most votes. Eligibility is limited to individuals who are at least 16 years of age in their state of legal residence on or before their entry into the Promotion. Such individuals must be a legal resident of one of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia as of September 01, 2020. Please see official rules for further details. ABC Humane Wildlife Academic Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
Criteria: Scholarship is open to incoming and current female college students studying or planning to study the fields of
science, engineering, mathematics, or technology. Applicant must submit an essay on why they are passionate about STEM.

Barbara Mandigo Kelly Peace Poetry Awards
Amount: Varies
Criteria: Contest is open to people of all ages. Contestants must submit a poem or poems that explore and illuminate

Employment Boost Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
Criteria: Students must be currently enrolled in a U.S.-based high school or college. Students graduating from high school must plan to attend college during the fall semester in the same year as the application, eligible colleges include two-year and four-year universities in the United States, minimum GPA of 3.6, one letter of reference must be included in the application. This letter must come from one of the following sources: a current or former teacher of the student, or a current or former employer of the student,

Amount: $1,000
Criteria: Applicants must be a graduating senior enrolled in college following graduation. An essay is required.

Horatio Alger National Career & Technical Scholarship Program
Amount: $2,500
Criteria: Applicant must be a graduating senior, enter a career or technical program in the Fall following graduation and demonstrate financial need. Forms needed with the application are: Student Aid Report (SAR), income documentation.

Paul E. Flaherty Athletic Scholarship
Amount: $250
Criteria: Scholarship is open to high school seniors and college freshmen and sophomores who have participated in some form of high school athletics.

Pedro Zamora Young Leaders Scholarship
Amount: $5,000
Criteria: Open to all current high school seniors and college freshman, sophomores and junior (ages 27 and younger) who demonstrates an active commitment to mitigating the impact of the HIV/AIDS epidemic and taking on roles of public service and leadership.

Bachus and Schanker Scholarships
Amount: $2,000
Criteria: Any high school senior accepted to attend a four-year university by the time of the award, or full-time student attending a four-year university in the United States who carries a 3.0 cumulative GPA may apply. An essay is required on a specific topic listed on their website.

Financial Futures Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
Criteria: Applicant must be a graduating senior with a minimum GPA of 3.5, majoring in business, accounting, finance, mathematics, management, and others related to the personal finance industry. An essay on a specific topic is required. See the essay topic by clicking on the title.

Flavor of the Month Scholarship
Amount: $1,500
Criteria: Must be thirteen (13) years of age or older at the time of application, currently enrolled (or enroll no later than the fall of 2024) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education. Submit an online written response to the question: If you were an ice cream flavor, which would you be and why?" (250 words or less).

MSPE-SW Chapter Scholarship Program
Amount: $1,000
Criteria: 1) Be a high school senior for the 2021-2022 school year, 2) Be a citizen of the United States at the time of application. 3) Have at least a 3.0 grade point average (based on a 4.0 scale) for the 10th and 11th grades. 4) Have at least a minimum score on the American College Testing Program (ACT) test of 29 in Math and 25 in English. 5) Must enroll in an engineering program that has been accredited by the Engineering Accreditation. Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET-EAC) or a Pre-Engineering Program at a College or University that has a working agreement to transfer credits with an ABET Accredited College or University.
