  • Varsity Tutors Essay Contest
    Amount: $200
    Criteria: This award is a monthly essay contest. The winner is chosen by which essay receives the most votes. Eligibility is limited to individuals who are at least 16 years of age in their state of legal residence on or before their entry into the Promotion. Such individuals must be a legal resident of one of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia as of September 01, 2020. Please see official rules for further details.   • ABFSE National Scholarship Program 
    Amount: $500-$2,500
    Criteria: Must have completed at least one semester (or quarter) of study in a program for funeral service or mortuary science education. 
    Deadline: September 1st (annually)

  • Beauty School Directory
    Amount: $2,500
    Criteria: Applicant must be a graduating senior, 18 years old at the time the application is completed, enrolled at a post-secondary school relating to cosmetology.
    Deadline: September 1, 2021

  • Amount: $2,500 - varies
    Criteria: Take the PSAT/NMSQT in the specified year of the high school program and no later than the third year in grades 9 through 12, be enrolled as a high school student, progressing normally toward graduation or completion of high school, and planning to enroll full time in college no later than the fall following completion of high school.  Winners are selected without consideration of family financial circumstances, college choice, or major and career plans.  For more information click here.
    Deadline: Sign-ups for the PSAT the beginning of September-  PSAT is given in October.
  • No Bull Sports Scholarship 
    Amount: $5,000
    Criteria: Applicant must be a deserving female high school sophomore, junior, or senior who will be pursuing an athletic endeavor in college, maintain a cumulative un-weighted GPA of at least 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) during your high school career. 
    Deadline: September 1st (annually)

  • The Entertainment Technology Scholarship
    Amount: $1,000
    Criteria: Applicants must be enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as a full-time student at an accredited US college or university for the semester that they are applying to receive the scholarship. Write a 1000-word essay on a specific topic found on their website.
    Deadline: September 1st (annually)

  • Your Workout Workbook Scholarship
    Amount: $500
    Criteria: Graduating senior must be enrolled at a two or four year college or university, a resident of the United States or Canada. Applicants don’t have to be pursuing an academic program focusing on sport and wellness, preference will be given.

  • We Mount TVs Scholarship
    Amount: $1,000
    Criteria: Applicants must be enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as a full-time student at an accredited US college or university for the semester that they are applying to receive the scholarship. Write a 1000-word essay on a specific topic found on their website.
    Deadline: September 5th (annually)

  • Love Your Career Scholarship
    Amount: $1,000
    Criteria: Any student who will be enrolled in a college or university at the time of the deadline. Any essay is required.

  • Be the Boss Scholarship
    Amount: $2,000
    Criteria: Any female high-school or college student, who wants to start her own online business. 
    Deadline: 
    September 15th (annually)

  • FormSwift Scholarship
    Amount: $1000
    Criteria: Applicant must be a graduating senior in high school or enrolled in college. Applicant must create a business plan infographic.  
    Deadline: September 15th (annually)

  • Gates Scholarship
    Amount: The full cost of attendance (including tuition, fees, room, board, books, and transportation) that is not already covered by other financial aid and expected family contribution
    Criteria: Be a high school senior, be African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian American/Pacific Islander, and/or Hispanic American,  a US citizen, legal permanent resident, or national, have a cumulative 3.3 GPA on an unweighted 4.0 scale, meet federal Pell Grant eligibility criteria (this means that you must demonstrate significant financial need—check out our Pell Grant eligibility guide to learn more). Plan to enroll full-time in a four-year (bachelor's) degree program at an accredited, not-for-profit US college or university.

  • KompareIt Scholarship
    Amount: $1,000
    Criteria: All applicants must be enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as a full-time student at an accredited US college or university for the semester that they are applying to receive the scholarship. Applicants are not required to have a minimum GPA, applicants are not required to have a specific major. An essay is required.
    Deadline: September 15th (annually)

  • The DDSRank Dental Scholarship
    Amount: $500
    Criteria: Applicant must be a graduation senior majoring in dental following graduation.  An essay is required.  
    Deadline: September 19, 2021

  • Quest Bridge
    Amount: Full four-year scholarship
    Criteria: Applicant must be a graduating senior that has excelled in high school (student who typically earns A's in the most challenging courses available) despite facing financial difficulties, has a strong personal character, and comes from a household earning less than $65,000 annually. 
    Deadline: September 28, 2021

  • You Deserve It Scholarship

    Amount: $1,000
    Criteria: This scholarship is a random drawing scholarship (1 out of 140,000 will win). You must either be enrolled now or will be enrolled within three months of registration in the Scholarship Sweepstakes, in a qualified high school, college or university within the United States.
    Deadline: September 29, 2020

  • Amount: $500
    Criteria: Applicant must be a female student who is leading a healthy lifestyle.  Write a 500-word essay on your experience maintaining health and wellness while enrolled in college. 
    Deadline: September 30th (annually)
  • Chester Entrepreneur Scholarship
    Amount: $2,500
    Criteria: Any current college student or incoming freshman enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program. The student must be enrolled at an accredited college, university or trade school. No major or trade requirements. An essay is required on a specific topic found on their website.
    Deadline: September 30, 2021

  • Amount: $5,000
    Criteria:  The Contest is open to new and amateur artists who have not been professionally published and paid for more than three black-and-white story illustrations, or more than one process-color painting, in media distributed broadly to the general public.

  • James W. Lewis Leadership Awards
    Amount: $5,000
    Criteria: Graduating seniors that are continuing their education after high school, a minimum GPA of 3.5 and who have demonstrated in an outstanding manner the values of NSHSS Co-founder and President James W. Lewis; Commitment to diversity and inclusion, helping create educational opportunities for all, including young people identifying with under-represented groups, encouraging leadership among youth, community engagement and volunteerism, global perspective, and innovation and entrepreneurship.  Click on the title to apply.

  • Amount: Varies
    Criteria: Applicants must be recommended by a member of the MO Cattlemen's Association, and preference is given to those planning to earn an Ag-related degree (esp. beef production), minimum 2.5 GPA, demonstrate leadership, submit three letters of recommendation, and show financial need.

  • Money Metals Exchange Scholarship
    Amount: $2,000
    Criteria: Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or undergraduate students,
    and graduate students with an interest in economics, specifically the tradition of the Austrian school.
    You DO NOT have to be an economics major to be eligible to receive this scholarship. An essay is required on topics found on their website.

  • OppU Achiever’s Scholarship
    Amount: $2,500
    Criteria: Applicant must be a current full-time high school student with a minimum gpa of 3.0, write an essay on a prompted question. 
    Deadline: September 30th (annually)

  • Shout It Out Scholarship
    Amount: $1,500
    Criteria: Must be thirteen (13) years of age or older at the time of application, currently enrolled (or enroll no later than the fall of 2024) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher educationSubmit an online written response to the question: "If you could say one thing to the entire world at once, what would it be and why?" (250 words or less). 
    Deadline: September 30, 2021

  • Amount: $500-$5000
    Criteria:  The Contest is open only to those who have not professionally published a novel or short novel, or more than one novelette, or more than three short stories, in any medium.
