Technology Overview
Department Overview
The Technology Department provides support for student and staff educational technology needs. A primary focus of the department is to support the educational mission of the school district while providing seamless integration of technology resources in the classroom.
Technicians
A technician is available at the Intermediate, Junior High, and High School to assist students and staff with technology issues including:
- Student Chromebook troubleshooting and repairs
- Student Chromebook check-in and check-out
- Assist students and staff with hardware and software issues
- Classroom technology troubleshooting (i.e. projector, SmartBoard)
- Password resets
- Wireless connectivity issues
Network Technician
A district network technician is available to assist students and staff with network, application, and system support issues including:
- Network connectivity issues
- Content filtering and firewall issues
- Back-end application features include Canvas, Hapara, SISK12, and TeacherEase
- Student and staff network, email, and Google Apps account issues
Data Integration
Technology department personnel are available to assist with data integration and reporting issues including:
- Application rostering
- Student records and other data processing
- MOSIS and Core Data state reporting
- Attendance
- Grade Reporting
Guest Assistance
A wifi network is provided for guest use. The guest wifi network is provided as a convenience and strict content filtering is always enforced. Technicians are available to provided limited assistance with connecting devices to the guest network.
