Grace Ware named National Merit Semifinalist

Carl Junction High School senior Grace Ware has been selected as a National Merit Scholarship Competition Semifinalist. 

About 16,000 students were named as semifinalists out of about 1.3 million who entered the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2023 PSAT/NMSQT. The nationwide pool of Semifinalists, representing less than one percent of the U.S. high school seniors, includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state.

To become a finalist, the semi-finalist and a high school official must submit a detailed scholarship application to provide information on academic records, participation in school and community activities, demonstrated leadership abilities, employment, and honors and awards received. About 95 percent of the Semifinalists are expected to advance to the Finalist standing, and more than half of the Finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship.

Grace is the daughter of Robert and Natalie Ware of Carl Junction, Missouri.
