• 🍁 CJ PRIMARY 2-3: Planting Seeds for Success - NOVEMBER 🍁

    📚 2nd grade ELA

Our students are learning to write their opinion! They're diving into opinion writing, learning to clearly state their preference on a topic and then support it with at least three reasons. A major focus is ensuring all their ideas are communicated in complete sentences using transition words. We are helping them develop clear, structured, and effective writing.

    🧠 Durable Skills

This month, we're focusing on critical thinking—helping students become confident problem solvers in school and beyond. By exploring how and why things work, students build curiosity, perseverance, and positive decision-making skills. These habits help our Bulldogs grow into independent, compassionate thinkers ready to face any challenge!

A huge thank you to our parents and families for your continued support! Your partnership makes such a difference in helping our students learn, grow, and thrive every day. — Mr. Stevenson

    ✖️ 3rd grade Math

Our students are diving into multiplication and division! We're exploring different strategies for solving each type of problem and discovering how the two operations are connected. Students are learning to use arrays, equal groups, fact families, and skip counting to make sense of number patterns and relationships.

Skip counting is a great way to strengthen these skills at home — try practicing together while walking, driving, or setting the table! Talking through strategies and patterns helps build confidence and fluency with math facts.

🎨 SQUARE 1 ART - IT STARTS WITH THE ART!

    Hello from the Art Room!

Our Square1Art fundraiser is in full swing, and it's a great opportunity to support our young artists. Please complete your orders by November 5th. The funds we raise directly benefit our creative projects. Our art show is also coming up in December, so keep an eye out for details on dates and times. We appreciate your support in helping us foster a love for art.

Love and Glitter, — Mrs. Dixon
