October 2025 – Primary 2-3 Newsletter
Message from Mr. Stevenson:
As we close out the first quarter, our students have shown tremendous growth and effort. Teachers are reviewing common assessments to celebrate progress and guide next steps. We remain committed to high-quality instruction in every classroom so each child can thrive.
We are proud of our students’ positive behavior—kindness, compassion, responsibility, and readiness to learn make our school community stronger. Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming soon, a time to share successes, highlight strengths, and set goals for continued growth. Thank you for your partnership in making this a successful start to the year.2nd Grade Update:
Second graders are practicing mental math strategies to solve addition and subtraction within 20. They are working on one-step word problems with equations and finishing the quarter by collecting data to create bar and picture graphs.3rd Grade Update:
This quarter in ELA, students are learning figurative language such as similes and metaphors, using context clues to understand new words, and practicing different sentence types. These skills will help them read with deeper understanding and write with clarity and style.Nurse News:
