    David Nicholas Ross

    Nick Ross

    Class of 2005

    Football/Track & Field

    2001-2005

David “Nick” Ross left his mark on the football field from the outset of his high school journey. As a four-year letter winner as a running back and linebacker, Nick’s talent was evident early on, and he contributed significantly to the district, sectional, and semi-finalist teams during his freshman year. His junior year proved monumental, as Nick not only helped secure the team’s Tri-Conference Championship in the Big 8 but also earned accolades as the Big 8 Offensive Player of the Year. Additional honors that season included 1st Team All-Conference, 2nd Team All-Area, 1st Team All-District, and 2nd Team All-Ozark. As a senior, Nick’s legacy solidified further, with his exceptional performance earning him recognition as the First-Team All-Conference, All-Area, All-District, and All-State Running Back.

Nick’s athletic skills extended beyond the gridiron. He showcased his talent on the track, earning three varsity letters and contributing significantly to his team’s Conference Championship victories. His proficiency in sprint relays, notably as a member of the 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams, propelled his team to numerous victories, including being State Runners-up in 2004.

Though Nick’s time with us was tragically cut short following a car accident in November 2004, his enduring spirit and remarkable achievements continue to inspire.
