Carl Junction student named National Merit Finalist

Carl Junction High School Senior Grace Ware has moved from Semifinalist to Finalist in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program.

About 16,000 students out of about 1.5 million who entered the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the PSAT/NMSQT were named as semifinalists. Ninety percent of the Semifinalists met the requirements to move on to finalist status. The nationwide pool of Finalists, representing less than one percent of the U.S. high school seniors, includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state.

All Finalists will be considered for National Merit Scholarships, earning the Merit Scholar title.

Grace is still evaluating colleges and universities but plans to major in international business and economics with law school in her future. She plans to be a corporate attorney.

Grace is the daughter of Robert and Natalie Ware of Carl Junction, Missouri.
