• SERVICE LEARNING & LEADERSHIP IN THE WORKPLACE

    An advanced-level course designed to familiarize students with the principles of leadership and community service, this is an opportunity to integrate rewarding experiences into learning projects that benefit the school district and local community. School district and community needs are investigated and projects are designed to meet identified needs. Students will develop skills related to public speaking, event planning, marketing, group facilitation, problem-solving, design thinking, personal growth, and mentoring. (One-year, one practical art credit for grades 11-12.) Prerequisite: Personal transportation to job sites will be required. Students must complete an application obtained from instructor/current course participant and be approved for this class. Contact course instructor for application deadline information. This course can be repeated for credit.
