• LANGUAGE ARTS III ADVANCED

    This course focuses on composition, including persuasion, research, and responding to literature. Students will analyze and evaluate major writings in American literature. This is a reading and writing-intensive course emphasizing preparation for APLAIV or DC Composition. Students will concentrate on interpretation of American Literature and its major authors, informational text, vocabulary study, grammar, and written compositions. Candidates requesting this accelerated course will be admitted based on a consideration of their successful completion of LAII, LA II Advanced, LA II Enrichment, IXL scores, and teacher advisement. (One-credit, one-year for grade 11, meets Language Arts III requirement)
