ADVANCED INDUSTRIAL ARTS (Advanced Technology Education)
Advanced industrial arts is a hands-on, activity-based class providing students with the opportunity to design, build, and finish projects utilizing woods materials. Students are required to pay a $25 shop fee which will cover the cost of blades, equipment repair, sanding paper and belts, glue, stains, finishes, and fasteners. The students will also be responsible for producing a bill of material for each project and subsequently pay for all wood and material associated with their projects. Typical projects can cost from $25 - $100, but some projects can cost more.(One-credit, one-year or one-half-credit, one-semester practical art for grades 10-12.) Prerequisite: Industrial Arts. Students are responsible for costs of materials in their projects. This course may be repeated for credit.
