Carl Junction High School

The Carl Junction High School Jazz Band exists as an enrichment opportunity for those students who desire additional musical experience beyond that provided by the concert bands and marching band. Concurrent enrollment in the band course is required with limited exceptions. The CJHS Jazz Band will perform at community events, jazz festivals, and jazz concerts. Based on the amount of student interest, two or more separate jazz bands may be available. (One-credit, one-year fine arts elective for grades 9-12.) ​Enrollment by audition only. Auditions will take place in the spring of the preceding year of enrollment. This course may be repeated for credit.  Students that are academically ineligible one or more semesters according to MSHSAA academic eligibility guidelines may be reviewed for possible removal from the course.
