Carl Junction High School

This course will include instruction in basic tool safety, construction mathematics, and hand/power tool use. Students will complete individual projects. Projects may include--but are not limited to--step stools, lathe projects, and an additional individual student project. Students who take this course must pay a $30 fee that will cover the cost of blades, equipment repair, sanding belts and paper, glues, stains, finishes, and fasteners as well as wood for the first project. The students will also be responsible for producing a bill of material for each additional project and subsequently pay for all wood and material associated with their projects. (one-semester, one-half practical art for grades 9-11)
