• OUTDOOR PURSUITS – Fall (A)

    This is a dynamic course designed to give students the opportunity to experience and learn about a variety of different outdoor activities available in our local community and environment. Main units offered in the fall (A) semester will be Hunter Education, outdoor cooking, archery, and air rifles.  Other activities may include but are not limited to the following: fire-starting skills, fishing, map and compass, hiking, and knot tying.  Students will be OUTSIDE in various weather conditions, and it is the students' responsibility to remember extra clothes, shoes, sunscreen, water, etc.  Fee $10 to cover disposable supplies used throughout class.  (One-semester, one-half credit for grades 10-12.) This course cannot be repeated for credit.

     

    OUTDOOR PURSUITS – Spring (B)

    This is a dynamic course designed to give students the opportunity to experience and learn about a variety of different outdoor activities available in our local community and environment. Main units covered in the spring (B) semester will be archery, outdoor cooking, fishing, shelter building, survival skills.  Other activities may include but are not limited to the following: fire-starting, map and compass, hiking, and knot tying.  Students will be OUTSIDE in various weather conditions, and it is the students' responsibility to remember extra clothes, shoes, sunscreen, water, etc.  Fee $10 to cover disposable supplies used throughout class.  (One -semester, one-half credit for grades 10-12.) This course cannot be repeated for credit.
