BUSINESS MANAGEMENT II
This course is an advanced-level course designed for students who are interested in pursuing careers in business, management, or entrepreneurship. Building on the foundational principles introduced in Business Management 1, this course provides students with an in-depth understanding of management strategies, leadership techniques, organizational behavior, and decision-making processes through the management of Java Junction. Throughout the course, students will explore topics such as financial management, human resources, marketing strategies, and operations management. Emphasis will be placed on practical application through case studies, real-world business simulations, and group projects. Students will also develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills while learning how to manage and lead teams, improve business processes, and adapt to changing market conditions. Students will leave this course earning a Market Value Asset (MVA), an authentic preview of the world or work or post-secondary education.
Key areas of focus include:
- Advanced leadership styles and management techniques
- Human resource management, including recruitment, training, and employee relations
- Marketing and sales strategies in a competitive market
- Business law and contracts
- Conflict resolution and team dynamics
(one credit, one-year for practical art for grades 11-12) Prerequisite - Business Management I, Personal transportation to job sites will be required.
