• MIXED MEDIA

Mixed Media is a craft-based art course intended for students who are interested in the creative process, but not interested in the fine art aspect (drawing/painting). Students will learn about the art and craft of various cultures while creating works of art in a studio setting. Students will get to experience working with a variety of different media such as fibers, clay, paint, foam, wood, yarn and other crafts. Students must be self motivated; emphasis will be placed upon design and craftsmanship. A minimum fee of $30 for supplies will be required. The fee may be higher depending on supplies used by the individual student (One-half-credit, one-semester fine arts elective for grades 10-12) Prerequisite: Art I or DC Art Appreciation.
