ADVANCED PLACEMENT PSYCHOLOGY
AP Psychology is an accelerated and rigorous academic course that is designed to introduce students to the systematic and scientific study of the behavior and mental processes of human beings. You will be exposed to the psychological facts, principles, and phenomena associated with each of the major subfields in psychology, as well as the ethics, methods, and statistical tools psychologists use in their science and practice. At the conclusion of the course, all students may take the College Board Advanced Placement exam. The course fee is approximately $99 for those taking the AP exam. (One-credit, one-year elective for grades 10-12). It is strongly recommended that students have a reading IXL score of 1100, and students are strongly encouraged to take the AP Exam for college credit.
